Job Title: Civil Engineer (entry-level)

Job Summary: SME has a new full-time position for an entry-level Civil Engineer in either our Aurora or Park Ridge, IL, office to support commercial, industrial, and residential site development projects.
Our firm’s commercial projects typically include solar farms, restaurants, car washes, strip malls, churches, and mixed-use buildings. Industrial projects include logistics facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, and light industry projects. Residential projects include apartment buildings, townhouses, and high-end single-family homes.
Your compensation and benefits package includes:
- Pay Range is $65,000 – $72,000 + based on experience

Required skills and qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- AutoCAD and civil/site design, and HydroCAD software experience
- Experience with local, state, and federal permitting
- Professional Engineer’s license preferred
- Civil engineering design experience, including site development, grading plans, stormwater analysis and design, roadway design, utility analysis and design, code research, drafting of technical reports and specifications
