Brad Therrien

Brad joined SME in 2024 as senior field engineer/design engineer in the firm’s Power and Utilities Services group. Brad has over 10 years of experience as a field and construction support engineer. His areas of expertise include transmission line design and construction, constructability assessments, timber mat and snowpack road installation, right-of-way clearing, and environmental compliance monitoring. He also has experience coordinating with regulatory agencies to implement minimally invasive construction techniques for substation and transmission line projects.

Brad received associate degrees in wind power technology and computer aided drafting from Northern Maine Community College (NMCC). He also holds a certificate in electrical construction and maintenance from NMCC.

Brad lives in Woodland, Maine with his wife and their three girls. His time is often stretched between snowboarding in the winter and lake days in the summer with his family. He also enjoys spending time on large home renovation projects and turning wrenches on his old trucks and equipment.
