Structural Engineering Lead
Greg Cuetara
Greg joined SME in 2024 to lead the firm’s structural engineering services. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer with over 25 years of experience in structural engineering projects, with an emphasis on structural/transmission line engineering.
Greg has extensive knowledge and expertise in the design of utility, heavy industrial, and power plant projects including foundations and structural steel support. As an experienced project manager on multi-disciplinary projects, Greg is focused on delivering quality designs that meet the client’s needs and budgets.
Greg is a member of the board of directors of the Structural Engineers Association of Maine (SEAM) and previously served as the board’s president.
He has a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
In his free time, Greg enjoys skiing, ski racing, and woodworking. He has three sons and has stayed very involved in youth activities as a longtime Little League baseball coach. Always prepared, Greg is an Eagle Scout who remains active in his local Scout Troop, now as Scoutmaster.
