J Cavanagh

J joined SME in 2024. He is a Maine-licensed Professional Engineer experienced in engineering project management and field engineering for power and energy infrastructure construction projects. He supports utilities and private developers in a wide range of construction projects for power generation, energy storage, distribution, and industrial facility development.

J has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

J is a man of many interests, keeping active in all sorts of sports with his three young children. He also enjoys discovering new places while exploring the nooks and crannies of Maine’s coastline and, closer to home, J and his wife recently refurbished their 1700s-vintage Midcoast house.
