Matt Grondin

Matt joined SME’s Marketing and Business Development team in 2024, bringing a background in marketing, communications, and client and community relations. He has worked extensively with businesses, municipalities, and nonprofits to cultivate lasting professional relationships and develop productive partnerships.

Matt’s name may be familiar to many people around Maine, given his previous work with Maine Community Foundation, Maine Public, and the United Way of Southern Maine. He has also worked in the environmental sector leading public relations in the solid waste and recycling industry.

Matt lives in Cumberland, just a short walk from the office. In his free time, Matt enjoys cooking, kayaking, and fishing at Moosehead Lake with his family. He also volunteers at The Telling Room, which helps instill confidence in Maine youth through the written word.
