Morghan Carr

Morghan joined SME in 2025 to support SME’s growing Geotechnical Engineering team. Morghan has performed geotechnical evaluations for a range of projects including foundation recommendations for commercial, municipal, and industrial buildings, retaining walls, culverts and small bridges, and other structures. She has experience in geotechnical in-situ and laboratory testing, foundation design, ground improvement, seepage and slope stability, and geotechnical construction observation.

Morghan also has conducted research on the permeability and strength characteristics of artificially manufactured clay and is published in the Transport of Porous Media scientific journal.

Morghan has master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental management systems from Louisiana State University.

Morghan enjoys spending time with friends and family.
