About Ted Leatherbee
Manager of SME’s Geotechnical Laboratory for 30 years, Ted has over 30 years of experience in the civil, geotechnical, and environmental sectors. He is responsible for the testing, data reduction, and reporting of laboratory data for soil and waste materials.
Ted also runs SME’s survey department. His engineering survey experience includes topography, site layout and grading, volume takeoffs, cut/fill quantity evaluations, and cell development design using computer aided design capabilities. Ted also operates and maintains SME’s fleet of nuclear density gauges.
He is an FAA-certified sUAS (drone) remote pilot.
Ted has an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering and Building Construction from the University of New Hampshire.
