About Lisa Turner

Lisa is a Maine-licensed Professional Engineer and Soil Scientist. She has extensive project experience in the solid waste/landfill industry, including work in solid and hazardous waste site evaluation, remediation, and development; design; monitoring; and modeling. Her work supports SME client projects through hydrogeologic evaluations, landfill design and water quality review, gravel pit permitting, and related services.

Lisa graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with dual bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and soil science.

Lisa’s professional expertise extends beyond her civil engineering career. She is also an accomplished commercial organic farmer who, along with her husband Ralph, was recognized by the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry for leadership in the state’s agricultural community and notable contributions to agriculture.
