About Aaron Martin
Aaron Martin joined SME in 2023. He is a Maine Licensed Geologist and project manager with over 20 years of experience managing subsurface investigations, geotechnical investigations, and site remediation projects.
Aaron is an expert in the areas of hydrogeologic investigations, Brownfields assessments and cleanup programs, landfill monitoring, and environmental due diligence. His expertise includes overseeing various types of subsurface investigations, geotechnical investigations, tank removals, fate and transport analysis and remedial activities throughout New England and the Mid- Atlantic states.
Aaron’s professional experience includes providing:
- Consulting services for more than 100 Brownfields cleanup projects across Maine
- Water supply consulting services to Maine’s springwater and aquaculture companies, and
- Consulting and permitting support to Maine’s mining industry.
He has a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Iowa.
Aaron loves spending time with his family and children at sporting events. He also enjoys hiking, fishing, and relaxing at the beach.
