Tim Guy

Tim Guy joined SME in 2026 as a Senior Industrial Hygienist. An experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional with diverse experience, Tim has overseen the application of programs such as USP 797 Cleanroom Environmental Monitoring, USP 800 Hazardous Drug Monitoring, Chemical Exposure Monitoring, including Waste Anesthetic Gases, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Assessment, and Respiratory Protection. Tim has trained and mentored both EHS and medical professionals on a variety of newly implemented EHS programs in the workplace. After auditing and evaluating the existing EHS programs for numerous local hospitals, Tim was able to provide recommendations for improvement, sometimes overhauling their industrial hygiene processes, with an eye towards sustainability.

At SME, Tim has assisted clients with their occupational health and safety programs by conducting exposure monitoring for noise and chemical hazards, advising on safety procedures, and developing tools and training to manage exposure risks and analyze monitoring data.

Outside of his professional life, Tim enjoys spending time with his family at the lake, playing guitar or piano, and going on road trips with his wife.
