Sam Orlando

Sam Orlando joined SME in 2025 as a project electrical engineer with our Power and Utility Services team. Sam has a strong foundation in electric power systems and smart grid technologies with hands-on experience in power electronics, renewable energy integration, and industrial automation, with exposure to high-frequency RF systems and Plasma Etch technologies.

Sam is knowledgeable in power system design, technical documentation, and data analysis tools, and is passionate about advancing energy infrastructure through smart grid innovation and sustainable technologies.

Sam has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maine.

Sam enjoys playing jazz guitar, experimenting with music production, and exploring the Maine coast.
